Welcome to Tyhee Dental Clinic, located in the breath-taking and picturesque northwestern town of Smithers, BC. Locally owned, Tyhee Dental has been providing general dental services to multiple generations in the Bulkley Valley and the surrounding areas for many decades.
At Tyhee Dental, we are a team of dental professionals who are dedicated to providing quality care for the whole family, ranging from children’s cleanings and exams to fillings, wisdom tooth extractions, Invisalign, implants, root canals, crowns and bridges, and emergency services.

OUR DENTISTS
Dr. Anna Burns, DMD
Dr. Anna Burns obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Saskatchewan and enjoys practicing all aspects of general dentistry. Her patient-centered approach strives to ensure that every patient’s individual values and preferences are met in creating the right treatment plan. As a co-owner of Tyhee Dental, Dr. Burns makes it her goal to provide not only the best, but the most up-to-date dental care possible.
Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Burns obtained a B.Sc in Biology with a minor in Ocean Science from the University of Victoria, where she also met her husband. Dr. Burns is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to not only serve the community of Smithers, but to also raise her three young sons in the beautiful Bulkley Valley.
Dr. Trevor Lake, DMD
Trevor grew up in Prince George. He received his B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Victoria in 1999. Trevor then spent a few years tree planting and timber cruising in northern BC. During this time he also travelled extensively including trips to Europe, Central/South America and Southeast Asia. He eventually went back to school completing his dental degree at UBC, graduating with Honours in 2009.
Trevor has been working in Smithers since 2009 and along with Dr. Anna Burns, purchased Tyhee Dental in 2020. He looks forward to continue to provide high quality dental care to the wonderful people of the Bulkley Valley. Trevor enjoys all aspects of dentistry with special training in oral surgery and implant dentistry. He completed the one year Master Implant Clinician program in 2014 at Loma Linda University in Los Angeles.
When not in the dental office Trevor enjoys exploring the Bulkley Valley with his wife and two sons. He enjoys mountain biking, skiing, camping, hiking, hockey, paddle boarding and coaching his sons in hockey, soccer and biking.
